FUTSAL TOURNAMENTS
MLK Day & President's Day, 2017
On Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (Jan. 16), and again on President's Day (Feb. 20), 2017, a total of 54 futsal teams and more than 300 players flocked to the second annual Total Futbol Futsal Tournaments at Cassel's Sports Complex in Herndon, VA. The level of play was high across all age groups, according to TF Programs Director Jimmy Brewer, and the event generated some serious competition.
"We were extremely proud of the Total Futbol teams who competed in the tournaments and we really enjoyed some outside competition from neighboring clubs in the DMV area," said Brewer. "Cassel's proved to be an incredible facility allowing us to hold the tournament and helped keep the players going by providing concessions as well as soccer equipment for all. As programs director, I hope to build upon the successes of this year and continue to provide a competitive atmosphere for our futsal tournament next year.
