Amira grew up in Maryland and joined Total Futbol in 2016.

Coaching Experience

Amira has served as an Assistant Coach to a number of MSI Academy teams, and was previously the Head Coach of both the MSI Academy 05G Green and Silver teams. She also coached at the Premier Athletics Club Residential Soccer Training Camp in the Summer of 2018 and has been a Volunteer Head Coach with Bannas Foundation (in Beltsville, MD) since May 2010.

Playing Experience
 
Amira grew up playing soccer in Maryland and had an illustrious youth soccer career in the area. She played four years of Varsity soccer at Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Greenbelt, MD, and she played Club soccer for the storied Freestate Soccer Club (now called Maryland United) in their ECNL program. She also played for Trinidad & Tobago’s U-17 National Team and was a member of the National Team Pool.
 
She went on to play college soccer at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). Amira was a highly decorated Retriever in her playing days: she played in the position of Center Back and was co-captain of the team her senior year (2015); in 2014 she was the first defender to earn America East All-Conference First Team honors since UMBC joined the league in 2003; in 2013 she made the America East Commissioner's Honor Roll, the America East Women's Soccer All-Conference Second Team, and the America East Women's Soccer All-Tournament Team; as a freshman in 2012 she was named to the America East Women's Soccer All-Rookie Team.
