Teams Take Home Postseason Tournament Hardware

Herndon Thunder Black, shown above with Head Coach Matt Lee, were Champions at both the Bethesda Premier Cup (Nov. 11-12) and the Capital Fall Classic (Nov. 18-19). By winning their bracket at the Capital Fall Classic, the team punched a ticket to the prestigious Jefferson Cup tournament in Spring 2018. 

 
Five different teams coached by Total Futbol capped off the Fall season with strong showings in two postseason tournaments, tallying three Championships and three Finalist finishes. The teams played in 22 tournament matches total, recording 17 wins, 3 losses and 2 draws and cumulatively scoring 62 goals (2.8 goals average per game) while letting in 15 (0.68 average per game) against top regional and national competition.

Herndon Hurricanes Black (shown above with Head Coach Todd Hamlin) were Finalists in the top bracket of the prestigious Bethesda Premier Cup. The U15 team is currently ranked #1 in the state of Virginia, #8 in Region I and #15 nationally by Got Soccer.
 
 
Herndon Lightning White (shown above with Head Coach Jimmy Brewer) were Finalists at the Capital Fall Classic, scoring ten goals and conceding seven.
 
 
Herndon Crush (shown above) were Champions at the Bethesda Premier Cup, sweeping four games and scoring 13 goals while allowing just two.
 
 
MSI Academy White, co-coached by Total Futbol Executive Director Nadir Moumen and Nia Walcott, were Finalists at the Bethesda Premier Cup, winning three games on their way to the Championship match. They scored 15 goals and let in just two (both in the Final).
